This weekend NASCAR moves into the Northeast, Louden, N.H. to be specific, for the first race at that facility for 2013. It is a very important weekend because Louden is one of the tracks that is also in the last 10 races of the season, The Chase.
The season is well past the halfway point now. In actuality, there are just eight races left before The Chase begins, and it time for all the race teams to “let the big dog eat”! Another way to put is in laymen terms is; it is the time of the year that we will now see who are the contenders, and who are the pretenders!
Let us take a look at just who performs well at this facility:
These are the top 12 performers at New Hampshire International Speedway.
Tony Stewart………………………. 111.7
Jeff Gordon………………………… 109.9
Jimmie Johnson…………………..105.8
Denny Hamlin………………………104.8
Clint Bowyer…………………………. 97.2
Dale Earnhardt Jr…………………..96.9
Ryan Newman………………………. 94.9
Kevin Harvick……………………….. 92.8
Kasey Kahne…………………………. 91.8
Jeff Burton……………………………..91.6
Kurt Busch…………………………….89.6
Kyle Busch……………………………..89.6
Note: Driver Ratings compiled from 2005-2012 races (16 total) among active drivers at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
Formula combining the following categories: Wins, Finishes, Top-15 Finishes, Average Running Position While on Lead Lap, Average Speed Under Green, Fastest Lap, Led Most Laps, Lead-Lap Finish. Maximum: 150 points per race (NASCAR).
With the above facts and figures reviewed, then it would be safe to say that “Smoke”, Tony Stewart, should be driving his SHR #14 Mobil1 Chevy into the winners circle Sunday! I guess that about 7:30 PM EDT Sunday, we will see who leads the field to the checkered flag at Louden!
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
