Because of the continuous precipitation that fell upon, and accumulated at, the Las Vegas Motor Speedway Friday, NASCAR cancelled the Nationwide Series practice and qualifying for the Sam’s Town 300, as well as the Sprint Cup Kobalt 400 qualifying.
This is the first time that any Sprint Cup and Nationwide qualifying has been cancelled due to weather, in the 15 year history of NASCAR racing at this facility.
Since the all of Saturday’s activities were cancelled, the starting lineup for both the Nationwide race and the Sprint Cup race will decided by the 2012 owner’s points.
Brian Vickers, Joe Gibbs Racing #20, and Trevor Bayne, Roush-Fenway Racing #6, will be the makeup of the front row for the Sam’s Town 300 Saturday.
Here is the complete starting order for the Sam’s Town 300.
The starting lineup for the Kobalt 400, Sunday will have the reigning Sprint Cup champion, “Blazingly Bad” Brad Kelesowski on the pole, with Clint Bowyer along side making up the front row, leading the rest of the 43 drivers to the green flag.
Here is the rest of the Kobalt 400 starting lineup for Sunday.
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
