The former F1 Brazilian driver, Nelson Piquet, Jr. will be getting a promotion for 2013!

Turner Scott Motorsports, formally Turner Motorsports, {Harry Scott, Jr., Brian Scott’s Dad (loaded with money) bought into the race team in the off-season, and now Brian will drive for Turner Scott} has decided to move Piquet up to the Nationwide Series for 2013.

The Brazilian driver finished seventh in the Camping World Truck Series in points in 2012, claiming a pair of wins at Michigan and Las Vegas, nine Top-5 and 15 Top-10 finishes in 22 events.

Piquet made two Nationwide races last year, highlighted by a win from the pole at Road America last summer.

A spokesperson for Turner Scott Motorsports declined to confirm the move, and there is no word on who might replace Piquet at the wheel of the team’s #30 Chevy Silverado.

The winter is heating up!  It is just 37 days, 7 hours, 11 minutes, and 52 seconds till the Trucks take the green flag for the Friday night opener at Daytona!

Can you hear the engines revving yet?

TILL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
