Kyle Busch gave another dominating performance at O’Reilly Raceway Park on the west side of Indianapolis Saturday night. This was his 8th win in just 20 races that he has competed in for 2010. The Kroger 200 was Kyle’s fifth win in his last six races in the Nationwide Series.

While the primary story line all day was the Edwards-Keselowski crash, feud, and fines from the last race at Gateway, it was ol Kylie that put on a dominating race performance for the crowd at ORP. However, Edwards did figure into the headlines of the race. He battled back to finish second and challenged Busch on the last restart of the race.

There were a couple of opportunities for “Cousin Carl” and “Blazingly Bad” Brad to wreck each other during the race. However, they both played like good little boys who had just had the “hides tanned” by NASCAR earlier this week!

It is the opinion of WOMR that the Edwards-Keselowski feud is not over, merely put on hold for a while! As Mr. Excitement, Jimmy Spencer, said a few years ago, race drivers NEVER forget! So somewhere, someplace, at some opportune time, “Cousin Carl” will feel what it is like to get turned around into the fence!

What is your thoughts on this subject?

Here is the results of the Kroger 200.

Hey Brian France are you listening?

I propose that you change the name of the Nationwide Series back to the Busch Series. Better yet, the Kyle Busch Series!

The 25 year old throttle jockey from Las Vegas had just another day at “the office” Saturday at Louden, N.H. Busch lead 125 of the 200 laps to win the Nationwide race there. That propelled Busch into the position for all time laps leader in that series passing Mark “The Kid” Martin! Kyle has now lead a total of 8,117 laps in the Nationwide Series, and he is only 25 years old!

In the 2010 Nationwide Series Busch has won 6 of the 13 races, additionally, he has not raced in all the races this season. To show how dominating that Kyle has been in the Nationwide Series, he has won 36 races in his 186 starts since 2003. That is a great average, winning 19.35% of all races that he has competed in for this series!

With 36 wins in this series, Busch has now tied Kevin Harvick for second place on the all time win list. The overall leader for most wins is Mark Martin with 48 victories, but that was accomplished over a 21 year career in this series. Busch has accumulated his 36 victories in less than eight years racing in the Nationwide Series!

Last year ol Kylie ran away with the series championship winning nine races and finishing second in eleven other races. Think of that statistic, in 20 of the 35 races Busch was either first or second! That is just udder domination! Most likely he would be on another dominating run this year had he opted to run a full Nationwide schedule. (Actually J.D. Gibbs opted for him!)

There is one thing for sure, like him or hate him, nobody can dispute the talent of this young, edgy, arrogant, some might say cocky “Las Vegas Weasel”! At just 25 years old, Kyle has already established himself as one of the elite talents in NASCAR.

Just think how good he might be when he gets a little experience at this racing game!

What is your opinion of the ol Kylie?

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!

Kyle Busch has shut down one of his financially strapped Camping World Truck teams, the KBM #56 Toyota Tundra. That truck was piloted by Taylor Malsam, who this week took up an offer to drive the #10 Braun Racing Toyota in the Nationwide Series.

Taylor will begin driving that car for Bruan Racing Saturday in Nashville. Malsam is the second of Busch’s two drivers to leave Kyle Busch Motorsports in the last two weeks! Brian Ickler left KBM for the opportunity to drive in the Nationwide Series for Roush-Fenway in the #16 Con-Way Freight Ford.

Shutting down the No. 56 team will lessen the financial load for Sprint Cup star Busch, whose foray into ownership this year has been plagued by sponsorship woes. He acknowledged last month that he was funding the two teams mostly out of his own pocket.

KBM will continue to field the # 18 truck, which is tops in the owners’ standings. Busch will drive it in some races. The rest of the driver schedule is still being determined after Ickler’s departure.

Veteran Johnny Benson will drive the truck Friday at Texas with Busch at Pocono Raceway for the Sprint Cup race.

The 21-year-old Malsam finished no better than 13th in seven Truck Series races this year and was 11th in the points standings. Malsam will replace Jason Leffler in the No. 10 Nationwide car, while Leffler returns to Braun’s No. 38.

Is this a sign that Kyle Busch Motorsports is falling upon some tough financial times? There is still some litigation that KBM is facing concerning construction of his race shop.

What do think KBM’s future is?

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!

Jeff Burton has a reputation of cool, calm driver who takes his lumps and rarely complains, that was until Sunday evening after the Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. That is what made the scene so odd after the race. Jeff Burton confronted ol Kylie Busch at Busch’s car and began to shake his finger in Busch’s face and explain, in no uncertain terms, his displeasure of Busch!

As Burton finished his one sided discourse with the Las Vegas native, Busch made a comment that lit Burton’s candle once again! Burton spun around once again and repeated his displeasure of Busch and used his extremely long index finger to put an exclaimation point to the sentence!.

It is not known what ‘pearls of wisdom’ Burton ended the conversation with, nevertheless, it was obvious to Kyle to keep his lips zipped this time! From an outside observation, it appeared that Burton had seen enough of “The Kyle Busch Movie” and was totally fed up with it!

In light of the Kyle Busch-Denny Hamlin teammate feud presently going on, it appears that Busch is cultivating other enemies as well this season!

What do you think about ol Kylie and his driving antics? Does Kyle need to attend a”Dale Carnegie course”?

Kyle Busch’s driving style has been compared somewhat to “the Intimador”, Dale Earnhardt,Sr. But I can say to Kyle something like Sen. Benston said to Dan Quayle in the debates a few years ago……

Kyle I’ve seen Dale Earnhardt, Sr. drive, and you are no Dale Earnhardt,Sr.!

Has anybody seen the bus?

Not only did Denny Hamlin, driver of the Joe Gibbs Racing of the #11 Fed Ex Toyota Camry, throw his teammate, Kyle Busch, driver of the JGR #18 M&M’s Toyota Camry, under the bus- he flat ran over him as well!

Just when all had thought that the heated, vulgarity laced, discussion between Kyle Busch and his teammate Denny Hamlin had been pacified by team owner Joe Gibbs last Saturday night, the feud continues! Kyle is quoted as saying on Thursday, “For me I am over the Denny Hamlin issue. It’s done, we’re moving forward and we look forward to the rest of the year and the [Coca-Cola] 600 this weekend.”

However, Denny Hamlin was considerably more blunt about the matter when discussing his feelings. “I definitely wouldn’t change anything that I would do and nobody in my position would,” said Hamlin. “I challenge anyone to be in that position and to change the way that I drove. The thing is that he [Busch] was never there, there was never a hole for his car to fit in, so he has a gas pedal and a brake just like I do. He could choose to check up and pass me in the next corner or put his car in the fence like what happened.”

Hamlin didn’t just stop with that blunt statement. He was asked if he would work with his teammate, Busch, he expressed his displeasure with the hot tempered Las Vegas native.

“I’m not going to put too much effort in it, to be honest with you,” Hamlin said. “Kyle brings this stuff up himself and he gets mad at the media for asking him questions about his blow-ups and stuff, but he does it to himself. I don’t want to be part of it. Any drama that he wants to create or anything is on him. Anything he says on the radio is on him. [That’s] all I’m going to say and I’m going to be done with it. Each year I think Kyle’s going to grow out of it and he just doesn’t. Until he puts it all together, that’s when he’ll become a champion. Right now he just doesn’t have himself all together.”

And then, for good measure, this little parting rim shot from Hamlin:

“I didn’t say that I was going to take over this team or be the leader of this team, but somebody’s got to be the leader—it ain’t going to be Kyle.”

After starting on the pole because qualifying was rained out, after two encounters with the outside retaining wall, after a hard charging pack on the last restart, Kurt Busch in the Penske “blue deuce” captured a cool million dollars for the victory at Charlotte Motor Speedway Saturday night by winning the NASCAR All Star race.

Busch appeared to have the dominate hot rod early in the contest. But his choice of racing lanes, “high, wide and in his case not so handsome”! Yes, my friends, he was driving the Penske #2 Miller Lite Dodge way up high and not afraid to die. But two encounters with the retaining wall slowed his Dodge up through the middle part of the contest, and dropped Kurt out of the top ten. That allowed Jimmie Johnson, Denny Hamlin, and little brother Kyle Busch to contend for the lead.

By the last 10 lap dash segment, the Miller Lite pit crew got Kurt patched up, changed a couple of shocks, sent him back out in 11th place, and allowed the “blue deuce” back into contention. Denny Hamlin, driving the JGR #11 FedEx Toyota faded, little brother Kyle Busch, driving the JGR #18 M&M’s Pretzel Toyota, crashed after his fellow teammate Denny “Gimp-Along” Hamlin squeezed him up into the fence. Jimmie Johnson spun out, leaving only Martin Truex, Jr., and Joey “Sliced Bread” Logano to challenge Kurt.

Neither Truex nor Logano had anything for the #2 Miller Lite Dodge and Busch motored away to his first ever NASCAR extracurricular activity race victory, ie the All Star race or Bud Shootout race.

The All Star victory made his boss’ trip to Charlotte all worth the flight. Earlier in the day Team Penske driver Helio Castroneves won the pole for the 2010 Indianapolis 500, so “The Captain”, Roger Penske, had a great Saturday afternoon and evening.

Kyle Busch dominated the field Saturday at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Busch led the race four times for a total of 69 of the 134 laps. In spite of an incident during the race that involved his truck and that immovable object called the retaining wall, Busch still prevailed to win.

This is the second win in five races for Kyle in his very own Kyle Busch Motorsports #18 Toyota Tundra. Kyle crossed the finish line just .228 seconds ahead of Todd Bodine’s Germaine.com #30 Toyota Tundra, giving Toyota its first truck victory at Charlotte. Ron Hornaday, James Buescher, and Elliott Sadler rounded out the top five Satruday night.

After a lengthy pit stop to repair the right front fender, Busch restarted on lap 90 in 9th place. Busch gained 2 spots on the restart before Ryan Seig blew a right front tire and slammed into the turn 3 retaining wall.

Eleven laps after the restart on lap 95, Busch passed Bodine for second place and held it until Dennis Setzer slammed into the turn 2 retaining wall. Busch took the lead from Ron Hornaday with an excellent restart on lap 118. And that set up the exciting near photo finish between Busch and Bodine.

Since NASCAR’s decision to make all restarts double file, the end results is that the finishes have become much more exciting! You got to love that!

Kyle Busch, driving the JGR #18 M&M’s Toyota, only led 131 laps today, but he led the most important lap- the last one. With 38 laps to go, Busch capitalized on a pit road mistake by the HMS #48 Lowe’s Chevy. Johnson was flagged for speeding leaving the pits and had to return to the pits for a drive through penalty, relegating the #48 team to a 16th place finish Sunday.

The victory was the second for Busch during the Dover weekend, On Friday afternoon, Busch dominated the Camping World Truck Series race, but ran out of gas on the final restart and failed to bring home the victory for his Kyle Busch Motorsports #18 Toyota Tundra. On Saturday, however, Busch again thoroughly dominated the Nationwide Series race and was able to bring home a victory for his Nationwide JGR #18 Combos Toyota.

On Sunday, Busch was not the most dominating car, leading only 131 laps. Jimmie Johnson led a race high of over 200 laps, however, his speeding violation with 38 laps to go was all it took for Busch to “run off and hide” from the rest of the pack.

Jeff Burton finished second Sunday and Matt Kenseth was third.

Denny Hamlin, Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing teammate, was fourth.

Points leader Kevin Harvick finished seventh. Busch moved from third to second in points – 69 behind Harvick – with the victory while Johnson fell two places to fourth.

It appears that Joe Gibbs Racing has found something that the other teams have yet to see with the return to the new/old rear deck spoiler. Since returning to the spoiler, Joe Gibbs Racing has won 4 of 7 the Sprint Cup races.

Is the Sprint Cup torch about to be passed from Hendrick Motorsports to Joe Gibbs Racing? What do you think?

From The Charlotte Observer:

A NASCAR driver’s interest in going green may end up costing some contractors.

Nearly a dozen companies involved in building a new race shop for Kyle Busch say they have filed liens or intend to file liens because they are collectively owed about $1 million for work done on a high-tech headquarters built for Busch in Mooresville. The project’s general contractor, L.B. Builders Construction Group, owns the building and has been in mediation with Busch’s attorneys this week.

Busch was supposed to buy the building but has delayed the purchase because the final price tag was more than expected. The subcontractors say that’s because the young multimillionaire NASCAR driver wanted a top-of-the-line, LEED-certified building and ordered upgrades during construction. L.B. Builders’ attorney, Robert Newkirk, said the groups have made “a lot of progress” in their meetings and are “hopefully moving toward a closing.”

Busch’s attorney, David Senter, said both sides are optimistic the issue can be resolved within the next 30 days or so. But the subcontractors told the Observer they worry they’ll be asked to settle for less payment than they’ve been promised. While some have filed mechanic’s liens against L.B. Builders, they must file a lawsuit to enforce the lien, which takes more time and money.

A lien attaches to the property and structures. Until the debt is paid, the property owner does not own a clear title.

Poor Kylie, he may be one “helluva wheel-man”, Saturday winning the HELLUVA GOOD 200, but whoever is in charge of the finances at Kyle Bush Motorsports seems not to be minding the store very well for him !

What is your take on this?

Kyle Busch, in his JGR #18 Combos Toyota thoroughly dominated the Nationwide Helluva 200 from Dover International Speedway Saturday. Busch led 191 laps of the 205 laps that included the green-white-checkered finish!

On the first of the late restarts, Busch jumped to the lead but just behind him second-place Clint Bowyer was rear-ended by Denny Hamlin. Several cars which had shots at the victory were also caught up.

Bowyer went to the pits but just before the next restart, he came back out onto the track and rammed and spun Hamlin, who would have restarted second.

“It was nothing intentional,” Hamlin said of hitting Bowyer on the first restart. “I barely misjudged it. I didn’t know how close I was (to Bowyer’s bumper).

“I just barely clipped him. It ruined his day and it ruined our day.”

NASCAR officials ordered Bowyer to pits and then to a meeting with officials. Can we say, “Hey Clint just sign the check!”

On the second restart, a green-white-checkered, Busch blew out to a big lead and won by 1.2 seconds over Ryan Newman, driving the Phoenix Racing #1 Chevy. Jamie McMurray, diving the JR Motorsports #88 Chevy, was third and Reed Sorenson was fourth.

The series points leader,”Blazingly Bad” Brad Keselowski, has a very eventful afternoon. After blowing a front tire, spinning wildly on the front stretch, and keeping the car off both walls, brought his Penske Racing Ruby Tuesdays #22 Dodge home in 7th place this afternoon. With his 7th place finish today, Keselowski was able to maintain his series points lead.

All in all, ol Kylie showed the nationwide boys the fast way around the track!
