NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway … This weekend will mark NEMCO Motorsports’ eighth and ninth respective NASCAR Camping World Truck Series (NCWTS) starts at the Las Vegas, Nev., facility. The organization posted a team-best fourth-place finish at the track with driver John Hunter Nemechek on October 3, 2015. The seven previous starts at the 1.5-mile tri-oval speedway have earned NEMCO Motorsports an average starting position of 17.0 and an average finish of 17.6 with eight laps led.
NEMCO Motorsports’ NASCAR Camping World Truck Series History … Since entering the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series in 1995, the Mooresville, N.C.,-based organization has logged 159 starts from six drivers, resulting in strong performances that include seven victories (Watkins Glen, Chicago, Atlanta, Canada, Gateway, Iowa, and Martinsville) and 35 top-five finishes, as well as 70 top-10 finishes, with an average starting position of 14.3 and an average finishing position of 14.7.
Collective NEMCO Motorsports … In the first 17 events of the season, NEMCO Motorsports’ two NASCAR Camping World Truck Series entries have one victory (Martinsville with John Hunter Nemechek), seven top-five and 12 top-10 finishes. The No. 8 Chevrolet Silverado is in the fifth-place in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner points. The NEMCO Motorsports-prepared Chevrolet Silverados have completed 2,652 total laps. Joe Nemechek and John Hunter Nemechek rank 19th and 81st respectively in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver points.
All in the Family … Team owner Joe Nemechek has found success in the NASCAR Xfinity Series (NXS) at the “Diamond in the Desert,” with one win (2003), five top-five and seven top-10 finishes in 15 starts. As well, in 15 starts at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Nemechek is credited with two top-10 finishes in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series (MENCS). Additionally, Nemechek has three NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. John Nemechek is credited with one NASCAR Camping World Truck Series start at the Las Vegas facility, finishing in the 27th-place in 1996.

No. 8 Berry’s Manufacturing Chevrolet Silverado
This Week’s NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek will pilot Chassis No. 041 in the World of Westgate 200 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. The Gere Kennon-led team last unloaded this NEMCO Motorsports prepared chassis at the Chicagoland Speedway on June 29, where they finished in the seventh-place after starting in the third-place. The chassis has starts at Charlotte (N.C.) Motor Speedway, Texas Motor Speedway, Kentucky Speedway, Pocono (Pa.) Raceway, Michigan International Speedway, Las Vegas Motor Speedway and the Homestead-Miami Speedway with Nemechek. Nemechek raced this chassis earlier this season at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway finishing in the 21st-place.
Viva Las Vegas … This weekend marks John Hunter Nemechek’s fifth Las Vegas Motor Speedway appearance with the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series. The Mooresville, N.C., driver has earned an average starting position of 13.8 and an average finishing position of 12.2 with eight laps led at the 1.5-mile track. Nemechek has collected one top-five and two top-10 finishes. He made his track debut on October 3, 2015.
Speedway Stats: In 46 combined NASCAR Camping World Truck Series starts on speedways (tracks 1 to 2-miles in length), John Hunter Nemechek has recorded three victories (Chicago, Atlanta, and Gateway), 14 top-five and 24 top-10 finishes. He has led for a total of 257 laps on NASCAR’s speedway tracks.
Race Rewind: Las Vegas Motor Speedway … John Hunter Nemechek, the driver of the No. 8 NEMCO Motorsports Chevrolet Silverado for NEMCO Motorsports, scored a 21st-place finish in the Stratosphere 200 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race on March 2 at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Nemechek started in the ninth position in the 32-truck field. On Lap 21 Nemechek received a pit road violation for pitting out of the assigned pit box under green-flag conditions. The 20-year old spent 20 laps in the top 15 in running order, before crossing the finish line in the 21st-place.
Season-to-date … Through the 17 events NASCAR Camping World Truck Series races of the 2018 season, John Hunter Nemechek has completed 1819 of 1963 laps contested (92.7 percent) in 13 starts. Nemechek is currently 81st in the driver point standings and fifth in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series owner points. Nemechek has spent 1,647 laps running in the top 15 and has made 530 green-flag passes thus far this season.
