Rossi Sits On The Pole At Mid-Ohio

Alexander Rossi
It’s been an all Andretti Autosport weekend so far at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course. Twin poles and a podium sweep in Indy Lights and Ryan Hunter-Reay’s lead over the IndyCar time charts was topped off by NAPA Racing driver Alexander Rossi taking the Pole position for the 90-lap Honda Indy 200.

Rossi will lead the field to the Honda Indy 200 green flag at 3:42 p.m. ET tomorrow with live broadcast on CNBC at 3 p.m.

No. 27 APA AUTO PARTS HONDA
STARTING POSITON: 1st
QUALIFYING TIME: 1:04.6802
OF NOTE:  Scored his third pole of the season, the fourth of his Verizon IndyCar Series career // This is the ninth race of 2018 where Rossi has earned a personal-best starting position
“The 27 NAPA Andretti Honda has been so strong on reds on Lap 1, it was strong yesterday. We thought that was a disadvantage going into last night, but when a similar thing happened in Group 1 for qualifying, we were like ‘OK, we will use this to our advantage’, especially when the red flag came out. Huge hats off to the team, P1, first and third. The effort that they put in, we were one of the only teams that haven’t tested here. Huge credit to the whole organization and hopefully we can convert it tomorrow.”
TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
