Justin Allgaier Prepares For The Coca-Cola Firecracker 250

Justin Allgaier
Justin Allgaier enters the weekend leading the NXS Playoff standings with eight points. He currently sits sixth in the regular-season point standings.

• In 15 NXS starts at Daytona, the 32-year-old driver has three top-five and six top-10 finishes. His best finish of second came in the July 2016 race.

• Allgaier has eight starts with JRM on traditional restrictor plate tracks, with three top-three finishes. He led a total of 64 laps in those races, including 35 at Talladega this year.

• This season Allgaier has already led a stout 458 laps, more than twice the number of the nearest full-time NXS competitor in that category.

“Our restrictor-plate program at JR Motorsports is really strong. We always have an opportunity to race up front and I was fortunate to get a runner-up finish at Daytona a couple years ago, but we’ve just had bad luck there recently, getting caught up in wrecks. Hopefully, we can keep our Breyers 2in1 Chevrolet out of trouble and be up front at the end.”

TIL NEXT TIME, I AM STILL WORKING ON MY REDNECK!
