Mike Conway should consider himself a very, very luck man this morning! After what he endured at the culmination of the 2010 Indianapolis 500 Sunday, he really should realize that he is lucky to be alive, albeit with a couple of major injuries.
The crash that he was involved in resembled the crash of Kenny Brach at Texas Motor Speedway a few years ago. It is reported today in the Indianapolis Star that Conway suffered a compression fracture of his back and ankle injuries to his left leg, “similar to the injuries that would be suffered by jumping out of a building”.
His team states that Mile Conway well need three months to recuperate from his injuries.
